On The Move

Blip *finally* started walking the week before we left for our family vacation.  I feel like the WORST mother ever...since I'm just documenting my first child's first steps.

It didn't take long after those first few steps for Blip to take off running.  Blip has made up for lost time.  He is no longer taking his sweet time moving, shaking, dancing, running, or getting around whatsoever.  We are having a blast with it...for the most part.

Except for times like this morning.  Within a few minutes of being awake Blip tripped on something in the backyard (or his own feet) and fell into another something.  I could see it happening, but couldn't' get there in time to stop the fall.  Luckily, his eye was saved, but he had three abrasions- one below his left eye, one on his eyelid, and one on his forehead. 

The swelling and bruising progressively got worse throughout the day, but it didn't seem to really bother him until the late afternoon.  After a dose of Tylenol, he was back to being happy.

The pictures just don't do this one justice.  It looks awful...and painful.  I'm sure this is one of many, but ouch!
