All About Blip: Butterfly Wonderland

For our last day as a family of three, we decided to spend some time with the Butterflies.  We had never been to Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, so we figured it would be fun to try something new.  Blip agreed...he was super excited!

We got up that day and got ready, but before heading to see butterflies we needed to run a couple of errands and grab lunch.  Blip was very patient.  He did better than I thought he would with how much we did pre-butterflies.  We drove out to Isagenix to pick up an order, went to Buy Buy Baby, and had lunch at Portillo's...then we made our way to Butterfly Wonderland.

Before being allowed into to see all the butterflies we watched a short 3D film about Monarch Butterflies.  It was pretty cool and was also interesting.  After the movie ended we were allowed to go into the room/area with all the butterflies.  The room was so HUMID...and for it was hot.  Ugh.  My large pregnant body was not thrilled with the temperature, so luckily we only spent about 30 minutes in there.
We wandered around and looked at all the different butterflies we could see...some even landed on Blip.  He wasn't sure what to think, but did as he was told and didn't touch them...even though he wanted to brush them off of his clothes/leg/arm/etc.

Once were were all done seeing butterflies, we watched the big construction vehicles that had just broken ground on the new aquarium going in next to Butterfly Wonderland.  Then we made our way to get Blip a haircut...and then it was nap time in the car for one tired little boy.

We had a great day together...our very last outing as a family of three.  I'm excited for all of our new adventures as a party of four, but will miss this.  The last three years have been the very best of my life.  I wouldn't change a thing.
