Airplane

Blip LOVES airplanes and helicopters.  The planes from Deer Valley fly over the house (backyard) all the time.  He LOVES to hear the plane and then look for them…he points them out and yells, "Plane!!"  There are also quite a few planes that fly over   from Sky Harbor.  Those are a bit higher, but bigger…and louder. So we get the same reaction.  Helicopters are even more exciting.

We took Blip to Deer Valley Airport on a rare Monday night in August that wasn't so blazing hot we'd all die from being outside.  At the airport there is a restaurant and a viewing area to watch the planes.  There was a storm brewing, so we took advantage.  Because of the storm there weren't too many planes taking off, but lots were landing.  Phoenix Firebird also landed while we were there, but it was hard to watch once it was at a certain point.  We need to get closer to the hangar for a better view.

All of a sudden the storm was COMING…and within a minute or two…it was letting lose.  We made it back to the car just in time, so  we didn't get soaked.  When we got home we opened the front door and Blip stood at the screen watching the storm.  He seemed to really love all the activity…rain coming down, lightning, and thunder.  He wasn't afraid for a second.
