The Fourth

This year for the 4th of July we had a few people over to swim and eat.  It's one of my favorite things about having a pool- we don't have to go somewhere else.  Richelle, the boys, Patrick, Sarah, the kids, Jen, and Blaze all came to play in the pool.  Jen had her ISR lessons for a few of the kiddos, but we all swam before, during, and after.  I even got in the pool...so it really was a holiday!! haha

After everyone left, and it was getting late...Mike and I decided at the last minute to find a spot to watch fireworks.  We threw some clothes on, loaded Blip in the car, and found one of the last spots in the Best Buy parking lot to see the fireworks show at Peoria Sports Complex.  Blip was sooo tired he fell asleep in the car on the way...and it's only about a 10 minute drive.

There were tons of people there to watch, but most of them had been there for a long time...probably all afternoon/evening.

We had fun...just the three of us.  I'm so glad we decided to skip bedtime and take Blip to see the fireworks.
